clearCONCEPT Acne Treatment What is the clearCONCEPT Acne Treatment? The clearCONCEPT Acne Treatment system combines three different types of treaments in order to provide the the best overall result for your skin. The three components are the: Aramis Infrared Laser--The light of the laser gently heats the area just below the surface of the skin. This reduces the size and oil production of overactive sebaceous (oil) glands. It also stimulates growth of collagen, the supporting structure of the skin, which softens the appearance of existing acne scars. Blue/Red Light Therapy--The low powered and gentle blue light is selectively absorbed by the acne causing bacteria. The bacteria becomes inactive. Red light is used to stimulate the body's mechanism to heal the treated areas. Red light also reduces inflammation and redness in the skin. Microdermabrasion--Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure where very fine, sterile crystals are sprayed across the surface of the skin. They gently abrade away the dry and damaged surface cell layers, leaving the skin smoother and more vibrant.

Topicals To optimize results, a patient's skin care program may include a specialized line of prescription strength cosmeceuticals specially formulated for acne prone skin addressing the four key elements of skin care- cleansing, exfoliation, treatment and hydration. How long does treatment take? To treat acne, a series of four to five procedures is administered, usually two weeks apart.
